PROBLEM OF PRACTICE
Emily chose to focus on the MTSS process for her problem of practice. She narrowed down her topic by focusing on her assigned grade level team, 6th grade, and working to familiarize them with the processes necessary to ensure student growth and achievement. Activities included in her practice included trainings in the MTSS processes, differentiation and lesson planning. She held workshops on interventions and aided in the paperwork and review process. Additionally she gradually reduced her support in order to ensure the team became independent on the MTSS process prior to the end of the school year.
